Ciy of Ember

Doon Harrow and Lina Mayfleet are finally assigned jobs. But Doon is given Lina's favorite job and Lina is given Doon's. They decide to swap jobs. In the city of Ember, the lights are beginning to go out. Lina discovers a box with instructions on how to get out of the city, but they are damaged and some of the words are missing. She goes and seeks the help of Doon who is more than willing to leave this city. They fill in the words and outrun the greedy mayor who is stealing food from the almost empty storerooms. Together they explore and find their way through hundreds of passages in the amazing novel and movie City of Ember.
